Digital Load Links

For our product spotlight this month, we are taking a look at digital load links. Digital load links, also called load cells, are precision force sensors used to measure forces and indicate loads. They are ideal for measuring tension at any leg of rigging! Their shape enables the use of standard shackles on both ends. Links of this range function in all positions for the measurement of force and suspended weight.

Operating Principle

The digital load link is a strain gauge that, within its limits of elasticity, measures the strain of materials subjected to traction stress. The sensor generates an electrical signal that is proportional to the load. This signal is processed by a micro-processor analyzer and then displayed on a built-in LCD display.

Every digital load link comes with calibration and certification paperwork.

What this essentially means is that you can safely measure the tension of a load from a distance. (Our RLP models are accurate from up to 2300 ft away!) The digital readout allows the user to wirelessly receive realtime load data. LGH also offers a digital load link tablet. This tablet comes pre-loaded with our software that can track, record, and readout data from multiple load links!

Digital load links need to be accurate. We know that accurately determining your jobsite load weight can be a life-or-death matter. That’s why load links from LGH are meticulously tested and come with the proper calibration/certification paperwork.
