The first webinar entitled, “Knowns & Knowns: Industrial Accidents that Drifted into Failure,” will be hosted by Mike Parnell, the Technical Director and CEO of ITI, with special guest, Bill Rigot, and will teach viewers how to use Human Performance Improvement (HPI) to promote foresight of potential disastrous events. The webinar will provide insights taken from the Fukushima Nuclear Plant in 2011, the BP Deep Water Horizon in 2010, and the Mobile Crane Collapse at Mecca in 2015. The second webinar entitled, “International Competency Assessment Board (I-CAB) Assessment,” will also be hosted by Mike Parnell with special guests, Sheldon Redpath, the Global Head of SHE-Q, Mammoet and Robert Day, the Senior Regulatory Adviser and Licensed Investigator at Suncor Energy. During this webinar, the use of the Crane and Riggers Assessment Tool will be with all participants and those in attendance will learn how this tool can be used to reduce high risk events through increasing cumulative competency of personnel, save both time and money by providing individual learning plans based on assessment results, and pinpoint deficiencies in current knowledge of personnel allowing for tailored training sessions.
