LGH Sails for New Connections

To obtain new contacts in an emerging market for the company, Lifting Gear Hire attended the WorkBoat Maintenance & Repair Conference and Expo in New Orleans, Louisiana on Tuesday, April 12th, 2015.

Hosted by WorkBoat magazine, this two-part program included an educational series developed for commercial ship-owners, mechanics, and engineers that are responsible for keeping vessels in service and in working order. Lead by a panel of industry experts, the conference was split into three tracks to help resolve common maintenance issues shared by all including: Structure & Hull, Power & Propulsion, and Regulatory.

The program also contained an exhibition hall designed for managers, captains, engineers, and others to interact and engage with potential customers on a more intimate level and showcase the latest and greatest technologies and opportunities for ship repair and maintenance.

The event was an exciting opportunity for us. LGH made new contacts, explored new connections, and processed several quotes by the end of the event. We also held our continual Lifting Challenge which was met with much participation and enthusiasm by our perspective visitors.

This was our first time at the WorkBoat Maintenance & Repair Conference and Expo and as this market continues to grow for us, it undoubtedly will not be our last.
