LGH to Speak at CRC/ICHC Conference

patrick_clark2Bridgeview, IL — March 21, 2013 – Lifting Gear Hire Corporation (LGH) will be having National Sales Manager, Patrick Clark speak at that the CRC/ICHC Conference in Indianapolis, IN. He will be presenting on Day 1 during the ICHC Breakout session at 2:10 PM CT.

The CRC/ICHC is an independent crane, rigging, and hoist conference for people working with cranes in the construction and heavy lifting industry. CRC/ICHC offers lectures but also gives attendees the opportunity for networking, hands-on learning and a chance to visit vendors in the exhibit hall. Patrick will be speaking on the safe and efficient use of spreader beam. Knowing the number and location of rigging points is just one factor in selecting the correct spreader beam for a lift. Patrick will share other safety concerns to take in consideration, such as understanding compression, the dangers of attaching anywhere other than the bearing point, and considering headroom when planning your lift. Patrick will also discuss multi-beam lifts and help users understand when this is the best choice.

LGH offers the Modular Spreader Beam for rent in capacities ranging from 24 to 1,000 tons and spans ranging from 3 to 100 feet. Modular Spreader Beams are customizable to meet a variety of lifting demands. Most spreader beams can be manually handled on site, reducing the need for lifting equipment and saving assembly time.
