Recently, the Shipbuilders Council of America presented a positive report of theĀ American shipbuilding industry to the House Subcommittee on Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation. The growth of new vessel construction is largely due to the shale boom which is driving the need for more oil tankers. Shipyards are also working to construct technologically advanced vessels such as the first LNG powered container ship which was recently recognized by the White House as the future of maritime transportation.
For our part, Lifting Gear Hire can help shipbuilding companies with everything from fabrication to repairs and can ever provide equipment for loading and unloading a ship. We supply everything from modular spreader beams to plate clamps, hydraulic cylinders, shackles, and slings to help you get the job done. We understand that ship building requires heavy duty equipment to handle the materials which is why we fully inspect and load test each piece of our equipment before it goes out on a job.
