On Tuesday, December 22, 2015, the staff of Lifting Gear Hire’s corporate office in Bridgeview, IL held its annual Christmas party which featured an Ugly Christmas Sweater competition, raffle prizes, and the first ever Bean Bag Tourney. The proceeds of which were generously donated to LGH’s charity of choice – the Transplant Village.
The bean bag tournament was comprised of 32 participants with a “Blind Draw” 2-person team bean bag (cornhole tournament). The entry fee was $10.00 a person with 40% going to the winning team, 10% went to the second winning team, and the remaining 50% was donated to the Transplant Village. As a result of the tourney, nearly $200 was donated.
“The Transplant Village is a moral compass that guides us,” Tony Fiscelli, President of LGH said. “They’ve become very important to our company in short order. Between this and our annual Cosmic Bowling event, these are great ways that LGH can give back to an organization that has done so much with people with very little. It’s an honor to contribute funds to such a worthwhile cause and to one that has personally and deeply affected our company.”
The Transplant Village is the charity arm of Northwestern Memorial Hospital who provides counseling, financial services, and much more to struggling patients in need of an organ transplant. When LGH’s former Vice President, Pat Fiscelli, was in need of a liver transplant himself, LGH became an active donator and sponsor of the Transplant Village.
Please join LGH for the 3rd Annual Cosmic Bowling event in 2016. More details will be provided when they become available.
