LGH Adds Hydra-Slide HT500 Jack and Slide System to Rental Fleet

Bridgeview, IL – December 1, 2014 – LGH is pleased to announce a new addition to its rental fleet: the Hydra-Slide HT500 Heavy Track Skidding System, a 500-ton-capacity jack and slide system engineered for precision, safety, and efficiency.

LGH Hydra-Slide HT500Manufactured by Hydra-Slide, a global leader in skidding technology, the HT500 has proven to be one of the most cost-effective and accurate methods for moving, loading, and unloading heavy loads. The system includes 50 feet of double track (8 inches high) and four skid shoes, with track sections available in 10-foot and 15-foot lengths that interconnect easily using simple pin connections. For longer moves, the track can be “leap-frogged” for continuous motion.

Each beam section weighs approximately 190 lbs per foot, providing a stable, low-profile lifting surface. The unique ratchet-track design enables continuous movement and automatic resetting of push cylinders, allowing loads to move in either direction by simply repositioning the hydraulic cylinders.

The HT500 uses modified Enerpac double-acting cylinders as push units. Along with all necessary connecting hardware, it is conveniently stored in a durable steel toolbox for transport and organization. The system is also available with a 30-gallon synchronous hydraulic pump, diesel-powered for consistent performance under demanding conditions.

With the addition of the Hydra-Slide HT500, LGH expands its ability to offer engineered heavy load-moving solutions that combine safety, accuracy, and control. This system is ideal for industrial moves, plant maintenance, and infrastructure projects requiring reliable hydraulic skidding technology.
