LGH Resumes UK Operations After 10-Year Hiatus
Bridgeview, IL – November 2016 — After a decade-long hiatus, LGH officially resumed operations in the United Kingdom, marking a major milestone in the company’s continued global expansion.

Originally founded in the UK during the 1970s by Bill Parkinson, LGH quickly became a leader in the lifting and rigging equipment rental industry. The company expanded internationally in 1990 with the launch of its U.S. division, now led by Tony Fiscelli, President of LGH North America.
In 2006, LGH sold its UK arm to Speedy Hire while continuing to grow in the United States, Netherlands, and Germany. A decade later, Chairman Ian Parkinson announced LGH’s return to the UK market, restoring the company’s presence in its original Atherton location and reaffirming its legacy of quality and safety.
“We’re excited to announce that Lifting Gear Hire is back in business in the UK,” said Ian Parkinson. “People throughout the UK lifting gear industry still remember the LGH brand, our green plant, and our reputation for safety and quality. We’re looking forward to recreating that success — now with even more experience and insight.”
LGH also announced that Colin Naylor, one of the most respected operations executives in the UK lifting gear industry, joined the initiative as Managing Director of LGH UK.
“Colin has been crucial in assembling the team and helping launch the new business,” Parkinson added. “We can’t wait to see what the future holds for LGH.”
The UK office joined LGH’s growing international network, which includes operations in the USA, Belgium, Germany, and the Netherlands, solidifying LGH’s position as a global leader in lifting and rigging rentals.
