LGH and ITI Partner to Advance Rigging Training Safety and Education

LGH and ITI Rigging Training 2016
For the third time, LGH welcomed Industrial Training International (ITI) and a class of rigging professionals to its 100,000-square-foot rental center in Bridgeview, Illinois, for hands-on rigging safety and inspection training.
ITI, a global leader in crane, rigging, and lifting instruction, regularly offers two courses at LGH’s facility — Rigging Gear Inspector Level I/II and Lift Director & Critical Lift Planning. The November 2016 session drew participants from across the industry who wanted to strengthen their inspection skills and learn best practices for complex lifts.
“I’ve learned a lot from this course — everything from wire rope and chains to synthetic slings,” said Chase Krapfl, Supply Warehouse Lead at Michaels Corporation. “Being able to inspect equipment in a real facility like LGH makes it easier to apply what we learn. It’s truly been a remarkable course.”
LGH also welcomed contest winner Cody Slammins, who earned a free course by submitting a video on why he wanted to advance his rigging expertise. “Using LGH headquarters is great — they have a huge rental center with all the equipment and testing space needed for hands-on learning,” Slammins said.
Due to the positive feedback from students, both ITI and LGH planned additional courses for 2017 and beyond, further strengthening their partnership.
“We’ve had a wonderful experience at LGH,” said Joe Kuzar, Assistant Technical Director of ITI. “It’s a great opportunity to cover a wide range of rigging and lift planning courses in a real-world environment. We look forward to returning each year.”
Through its collaboration with ITI, LGH continues to reinforce its long-standing commitment to rigging safety, workforce education, and industry excellence.
