Bridgeview, IL – 2020 — LGH has proudly partnered with Transplant Village, a nonprofit organization connected to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, as its corporate charity for several years. The partnership holds a special place in LGH’s history, honoring the legacy of Pat Fiscelli, who helped found LGH USA in 1990.
LGH’s connection to Transplant Village is personal — Pat’s life was saved through a liver transplant performed at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Without the care provided by the hospital and the ongoing work of Transplant Village, LGH’s story today would be very different.
To continue supporting transplant awareness and research, LGH organized a virtual 5K fundraiser in 2020. The event replaced the company’s annual in-person charity gatherings, adapting to social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic. The virtual format allowed employees, families, and friends to participate safely from their own neighborhoods, logging miles at their own pace throughout the week.
Participants raised funds to support organ transplant patients and families through Transplant Village, furthering LGH’s commitment to community involvement, compassion, and corporate responsibility.
