SC&RA LGH Crane and Rigging Workshop 2021
In September 2021, the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association (SC&RA) returned to in-person events with its highly anticipated Crane & Rigging Workshop (CRW) in Chicago. As part of the program, LGH proudly hosted the opening tour at its Bridgeview, Illinois headquarters — the largest rental center in North America.
The tour welcomed over 135 SC&RA members and industry professionals, offering a detailed behind-the-scenes look at LGH’s equipment inspection, recertification, and load-testing processes. Attendees rotated through nine interactive stations that highlighted LGH’s RFID tracking systems, equipment testing capabilities, and the rigorous quality standards that define its rental operations.
Following the tour, guests enjoyed a “Taste of Chicago” luncheon and received a commemorative pint glass to mark the event. The open-house-style visit was part of the SC&RA’s larger three-day workshop, which featured educational sessions, committee meetings, and networking opportunities at the Hyatt Regency Chicago.
“When visitors see the scope of our equipment and the detail behind our inspection and certification process, it always leaves an impression,” said an LGH representative. “Many don’t realize how much time and expertise go into ensuring every piece of gear meets or exceeds safety standards before leaving for a job site.”
The event underscored LGH’s continued leadership in the lifting and rigging industry and its commitment to safety, education, and innovation — values it shares with the SC&RA and its members.
