SC&RA to Tour LGH’s Largest Rental Center During the Crane and Rigging Workshop

The Specialized Carriers and Rigging Association (SC&RA) will be back to in-person events. And LGH will have the great honor of being the first session of this event, by hosting a detailed tour at their largest rental center in North America. During September 14th – 16th, the SC&RA’s much anticipated Crane & Rigging Workshop (CRW) will be in Chicago at the Hyatt Regency. For many, this will be their first in-person event since March of 2020. This event promises to be chalked full of educational topics, committee meetings, receptions, break-out sessions and their always popular, products fair; where manufacturers and vendors display their latest in equipment and technology. Registration for the event closes this Friday (Sept. 10th). For member registration Click here.

Once the SC&RA announced that the CRW was coming to Chicago, LGH volunteered to open its doors and operations to member guest of the SC&RA. On Tuesday, September 14th, over 135 folks will get a rare opportunity to see how LGH performs and executes its operations. Following Illinois state mandated Covid protocols, guests will be lead through 9 different stations highlighting subjects such as, inspection and recertification of LGH rental equipment, load-testing, the history of their humble beginnings in 1970, their internally developed RFID tracking software systems, and some of LGH’s “secret sauces”. Afterward, guests will be treated to a “Taste of Chicago” style luncheon. Upon leaving they will receive a bag with special items, of which is a commemorative 16-oz. pint glass, as a reminder of their experiences of the 2021 CRW.

When LGH has provided customer tours in the past, the reaction has always the same. They were not aware of the vast array of their rental equipment fleet, the processes and time invested to inspect, and, in many cases, replace parts and components on equipment, before recertification occurs. Nor, were they aware of methods not widely known to most customers that are done every time before a piece of equipment leaves for a customer’s jobsite. The end results are a more educated, safety-confident, and loyal customer.
