Patrick Clark Awarded Top Trainer Honor From Crane & Rigging Hotline

Bridgeview, IL – May 31, 2016 – During the annual General Assembly of the Association of Crane & Rigging Professionals, Patrick Clark, the National Rental Support Manager for Lifting Gear Hire, was awarded the honor of Top Corporate Trainer Award of 2015.

Endorsed by the Association of Crane & Rigging Professionals (ACRP), the Top Trainer Awards program was designed to recognize crane and rigging trainers working in the construction industry. Nominated in October of last year, Clark has since been declared as the recipient of last year’s award and received an official plaque for his efforts in the field of rigger training on Thursday, May 12, 2016.

“I just want to thank Crane & Rigging Hotline and the judges who recognized me,” Pat Clark stated in his acceptance speech. “I’m extremely humbled to have even been nominated by some of my peers and I thought that was an accomplishment that I would never see in my career let alone to receive this honor.”

The General Assembly is an annual 4-day event that includes presentations from the leading rigging and training professionals and an award ceremony to honor individuals who’ve left a positive impact on students, the work environment, and/or industry through the use of innovative training techniques or hands-on instruction.

Patrick Clark started out as a Field Representative for Lifting Gear Hire before becoming the National Rental Support Manager in relatively short time. Pat brings over 11 years of experience to the crane and rigging training industry. Along with sitting on the Specialized Carriers and Rigging Association’s (SC&RA) Crane and Rigging Group’s, Safety Education Training Committee, he also teaches his 5 Phase training program at LGH. He’s written significant portions of the training manuals himself and frequently updates the rest as time progresses. These programs are designed to bring all members of LGH of varying equipment knowledge up to speed on the proper use and handling of all the rigging, hoisting, pulling, jacking, and material handling and safety equipment that LGH provides for rental. Additionally, Pat drafted, directed, and edited a continuing series of short demonstrational YouTube videos that detail the careful use and troubleshooting of certain pieces of equipment – to better extend his teachings beyond the classroom. His efforts have been recognized.
