LGH Donates Spreader Beam to Support Operation Finally Home

Bridgeview, IL — January 21, 2014 — LGH proudly contributed to the Operation Finally Home initiative by donating a Modulift Mod 24 spreader beam with top rigging to help lift and place the roof on a new home for a deserving U.S. veteran in San Antonio, Texas.

The project was part of a collaboration between Building Community Making Connections (BCMC) and Operation Finally Home, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing mortgage-free homes to wounded service members and their families.

Specialist Cody Nusbaum, a U.S. Army veteran injured in combat in 2011, was the recipient of this specially built home. After enduring more than 65 surgeries and months of rehabilitation, Cody’s story of recovery inspired volunteers, builders, and donors alike.

“LGH believes in giving back to our communities. This opportunity to help someone who has given so much for our country means a lot to LGH and touches home for several of our employees,” said Chris Hyatte, Regional Sales Manager in the Texas area.”

LGH’s equipment played a critical role in safely placing the home’s roof structure, ensuring a precise and secure lift. The Mod 24 spreader beam provided the stability and lifting control necessary for this complex installation, highlighting how LGH’s rigging expertise can make a difference beyond industrial job sites.

This project reflects LGH’s continued commitment to community engagement and giving back to those who serve. Through partnerships like Operation Finally Home, LGH proudly supports initiatives that build stronger communities and honor the courage and sacrifice of U.S. veterans.
