Bridgeview, IL — October 2016 — LGH has expanded its heavy lifting rental fleet with the addition of the Mod 1000 modular spreader beam from Modulift. This high-capacity spreader beam enables LGH customers to perform lifts up to 1,200 metric tons using a single bar configuration.

Designed for large-scale and critical lifts, the Mod 1000 allows customers to achieve longer spans with fewer rigging components. The beam spreader system is adjustable depending on lifting requirements. With this addition, LGH can now support heavier and more complex lifting projects across industries such as petrochemical, infrastructure, marine, wind energy, and heavy construction.
Tony Fiscelli, President of LGH, described the strategic decision behind adding the new lifting beam to LGH’s inventory. “The Mod 1000 was the next step we could take to offer higher capacity spreader beams and increase the lifting capabilities available to our customers. It enables projects up to 1,200 metric tons and allows for significantly longer spans. We couldn’t be more pleased.”
The Mod 1000 includes end units, drop links, and shackles, with the full system weighing approximately 10,000 pounds. At nearly six feet long, the beam can be easily transported and assembled on-site thanks to its modular design.
